Happy Thanksgiving!


For all you folks in the US and for those of us who love the Thanksgiving holiday, have a happy Thanksgiving day weekend!

Personally, I love this holiday. Its a great reason to get together and see family (of course, you have Christmas for that -- but you gotta give presents!). Plus the food, my gosh! I'm not a huge fan of turkey, but I remember how Tito Ramon (in Michigan, first Thanksgiving) used to make it with all the drippings! Ah, divine. Our second Thanksgiving this time in Orange County had our ex-Uncle Jeff deep frying turkey in a fryer. It was heavenly!

We left Midland on a Thanksgiving morning -- three years ago. I still remember it because we almost missed the plane to Los Angeles. Its tough remembering leaving Midland because I love that city so much. Ah, well, perhaps in another life...

Anyway, wherever you are, have a great Thanksgiving day!

Just Like Old Times

Haven't done an honest-to-goodness blog entry that doesn't involve Chloe recently. Well, now's as good a time as any... but just in case you're interested, read about Chloe's first dental appointment.

Had a great weekend. Too bad there won't be any more long weekends like that until maybe Christmas, but even then, its only maybe three days. The family will be spending the holidays in Hong Kong, so we're really looking forward to that. Oooh, gotta work on getting Chloe's passport... things to do... things to do...

Last Friday, Louie, Chloe and I met up with Jacque, Jon and Sheila, and of course Mirzi for a dinner at CPK. It was so wonderful to meet up with old friends.


The interesting thing about meeting about with old friends is you see how time changes them! But weirdly, you also see how time doesn't change them as well. We're all getting so old, but you know it still feels like we're all still in college. People are married. People are working abroad. People have kids. People are still single. :-) Its amazing how time affects us all.

After CPK Shang, we headed to Fuzion at the Promenade in Greenhills. There, we proceeded to debate on love, society and blogs! It was quite fun actually, we went home pretty late. Closed up the place in fact. It sure was terrific to see everyone.

I am up-to-date on Desperate Housewives season 2! Haha! I love it, I love it! Although critics say, the writing ain't as good as last season. Whatever! I love it! (Ooh, and I love James Denton, the guy who plays Mike! Now there's someone you wanna wrestle!)

And ooh, good luck is coming my way. My cousin made me a ninang to his new born son, Anton. My good friends Charmaine and Ron asked me to be ninang to their little girl Kate. Yay, I love being a God parent. All these young minds to mold... hahaha, yeah right!

Folks, its almost Christmas! Get your wallets ready! Ho, ho, ho!
